#EstadoDeMéxico.- Addressing the official message at the Ceremony for the fourth Luctuary Anniversary of former Governor Alfredo Del Mazo González, the Secretary General of Government, Luis Felipe Puente Espinosa, emphasized that the legacy of the former governor continues to benefit today’s society, in addition to the fact that the works and actions that he promoted at the time are the basis for the current strength of the State of Mexico.

«More than 30 years after the end of his mandate at the head of the State Executive Branch, we continue to move forward based on the routes that were clearly marked by him, and that since then showed the need to undertake processes to improve performance, to make the exercise of public power transparent, to reorganize activities and, in short, to prepare the State of Mexico for the challenges of the current times,» he said.

After reviewing the former governor’s trajectory, the State Secretary said that the visionary character of the former governor was cemented in the enactment of the Organic Law of the State Public Administration, which laid the foundations for the distribution of competencies among areas of activity, in terms of linkage with other levels of government.

He also pointed out that during his administration, the need to delimit the growth of population centers was perceived, and for this reason he strengthened the content of the Urban Development Plan.

In the presence of Governor Alfredo Del Mazo Maza, the Secretary emphasized that projects of great relevance promoted by the former state governor are still of great use to society, among them, he highlighted the Toluca International Airport, the second stage of the Cutzamala System, the Atlacomulco-Toluca highway, or the creation of the Mexiquense Radio and Television System.
